Yes, facts are important especially in this time of political divisiveness. It can also help when completing reports or finishing graduate school. So when I came across former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer’s USAFacts website, I wanted to check it out. It aggregates data from many sources and it is just nice to have that in one place. I did a search for Medicaid enrollees for 2014 and found figures on the program’s spending from 1980 to 2015. Here’s an article about it from TechCrunch that includes a link to a New York Times article.
While it is nice to have all these figures is nice, it’s important to be able to find out any additional information behind the numbers which is not usually reflected in numbers.
